Kate and friends at the 2006 Feet RetreatI fell in love with Peter's piano playing at the Augusta Dance Week in Elkins, WV, in the early to mid-1980s with Rodney Miller if my recall is correct. I still love listening to Airplang, one of the all-time best contra dance albums IMHO, which I still have on vinyl and CD.

I am submitting photos from 1997 and 2006 dance weekends and have prints. Wayne Bosman scanned those and Ted Ehrhard cropped them.

Ted provided these details re the 1997 photos (from Summer Soiree, Asheville, NC) showing left to right Sam Bartlett, Ruthie Dornfeld, Ted Ehrhard, Lisa Greenleaf, and Kate): Laurie Fisher & I hatched the idea of having an entire band in drag, and she put it all together. The band didn't have a name, as I recall.

When I last saw Kate a few years ago at the Gypsy Meltdown dance weekend (Charlotte, NC), I was concerned that I might slip and call her Peter since I've known her as such so many years. She sweetly responded that wasn't a problem, much to my relief.

One more sweet memory: When I once contacted Peter about playing for my dance group's dance weekend, Triangle Country Dancers (TCD) and our Spring Dance Romance (SDR) Weekend, he replied something like, How could we resist someone who says y'all?

Sending heartfelt congratulations and so happy to help celebrate this wonderful honor!
