Two among many fond memories:
1) Madison Hall in Morrisville, NY working with you and the VanNorstrand brothers. You did Petronella. You warned the dancers that clapping might confuse the band. Of course they clapped and you kept the band together through all manner of meter changes. Hugely funny!
2) At Old Songs, I asked you the name of one of your dances that I'd copied down. You said it didn't have one. I told you that when I have unnamed dances in my collection I give them provisional names, just so I can tell them apart. You asked me what I would be calling this dance, and I said, "Maybe, 'Not Ready to Commit.'" Your response (with eye roll): "Story of my life."
